Robbie Spina and Joe Zito, the owners of London based Spina, have with much acclaim, breathed new life into the ancient craft of passementerie, the creation of deluxe ornamental trimmings of braided cord, beads, etc.

Spina began in 2000 as a strikingly unique collection of curtain tie-backs and key tassels that captured the attention of Harrods, countless interior designers and the luxury houses of Christian Dior, Van Cleef & Arpels and Mulberry.
The fashion inspired accessories are hand created from exquisite materials such as pearls, crystals, coral, feathers, Japanese silk and porcelain.
Bolstered by a growing international client base, Spina diversified into other product categories most notably, hand-strung crystal chandeliers.
It is quite obvious that the Spina design team has backgrounds in fashion, fine art and interiors. They have managed to create an enviable collection of sophisticated and elegant “jewelry” for your home.
The design above features bronzed exotic coque feathers, chenille and silk covered bobbles and crystal detailing.
The beautiful rich amber color of the double tie-backs above, feature crystal rondels in a lavish cord with two tassels finished with delicate hand woven Japanese silk.
The delicate key tassels can be used to adorn antiques, sculptural objects or door handles.
Impressive.
